Chicken Farm

Since 2015 a chicken farm has belonged to the school. The eggs laid by the 1.000 chicken are sold at the farm or at the market and make a permanent profit for the school. It also gives work to two women who are managing the farm. The chicken farm is by now self-sufficient. It has been financed by volunteer and is a positive example to help people to help themselves.

2015. The first eggs on the first day !

In January 2018 the chicken farm has been closed by the authorities as it was too close to the school and too smelly. The chief of Offinso offered SSA a new piece of land and Summer 2018 a new farm will be open again. In September 2018 the farm was relocated outside of Offinso. It brings ca. 200 Euro benefit to the school every month. (2018)

Because of Covid 19 the farm had to be closed and the chichken had to be sold. It was a good project but unfortunatly not successfull.
